The International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO) has
made efforts to monitor the status of tropical forest management since
its inception 25 years ago. These efforts resulted in the report "Status
of Tropical Forest Management - 2005" released five years ago. It
is the first comprehensive analysis of progress towards sustainable forest
management (SFM) ever undertaken for the vast majority of the world's
tropical forests.
Maya
Graf (Swiss Parliament), Emanuel Ze Meka (ITTO), Jan McAlpine (UNFF),
Hans-Peter Egler (SECO)
ITTO, with support from the Swiss Government/State Secretariat
