Publication, testing and clarification of ITTO's criteria and indicators for the sustainable management of Gabon's forests

The project is aimed at making the concept of sustainable management operational in Gabon, by training the personnel involved in the management, utilization and conservation of forest resources in the use of ITTO's criteria and indicators, testing their applicability to the conditions in the country, and producing a national Manual of criteria based on the results of testing. Gabon will then have information on the progress still to be made to reach ITTO's Year 2000 Objective.
